Service Support Planner (Phoenix, AZ)                      

Desert Fleet-Serv (a W.W.Williams Company) is seeking a Service Support Planner to proactively schedule and-dispatch Mobile Maintenance Technicians and provide unsurpassed customer service to maximize the productivity of Mobile Maintenance business.

Duties & Responsibilities of Service Support Planner:

Customer Service:

  • The Service Support Planner will act as primary point of contact for customers/clients.
  • Proactively schedule all customers to be current with PM's and DOT's at all times.
  • Advise customers of DOT expirations and schedule work.
  • Dispatch technicians for emergency service calls.
  • Respond to customer e-mails.
  • Review and schedule recommended services from prior PM's that haven't been done.


  • The Service Support Planner will review equipment repair history on all calls prior to scheduling.
  • Create and communicate 1st and 2nd shift schedules to Mobile Technicians.
  • Facilitate repairs by receiving and scheduling customer requests.
  • Identify and schedule the appropriate technician.
  • Monitor progress as necessary and redirect technicians for additional support.
  • Dispatch parts runner to obtain and deliver parts.

Other Responsibilities:

  • The Service Support Planner Enter new equipment and new customer data in computer system.
  • Ensure technicians provide information to the Service Support Advisor to generate estimates.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service/communication skills and follow through with DFS clients and potential clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The Service Support Planner will demonstrate and promote superior customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of personnel; possess active listening skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to develop and promote a team environment.
  • Organizational ability to plan ahead; manage multiple tasks, projects and high-volume workload, and to effectively respond to changing priorities.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Two years dispatcher experience / Customer Service.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with truck parts, repairs, services.
