Benefits Administrator: (Columbus, OH):

The W.W. Williams Company, LLC , is seeking a Benefits Administrator , responsible for in-depth knowledge and administration of Company's benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan Design and Administration:

  • Assist with Plan design and implementation of benefit programs to include, Retirement, Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Products, Wellness Programs and other related programs/products.
  • Assist with development and implementation of communication plan for benefit programs.
  • Act as liaison between benefit vendor/providers and company.
  • Invoice review and reconciliation for all Benefit products.
  • Reconciling benefit related payroll arrearages and managing the arrearages process.
  • Oversee the database maintenance of HRIS system, as it relates to benefits, as well as other benefit related vendor systems.
  • Regular auditing of HRIS system benefit set ups.
  • Approving events within the Benefits database.

Employee Relations:

  • Communicating with, and education of, existing and new employees on benefit plans.
  • Resolve employee issues escalated from the Advocacy Hotline in a professional and timely manner.
  • Family Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA) Administration including sending/receiving letters, knowledge of the FMLA state law/regulation in coordination with company policy.
  • Staying up to date about Federal and State guidelines, and makes recommendations for policy updates based on the guidelines
  • Generating reports in relation to Benefits and Payroll as it relates to Benefits.
  • Other Benefit related duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate with education towards a Human Resources professional designation or certification in a Benefits related area.
  • Prefer 2-4 years of benefits experience with at least one year of strong experience in a specialized area, such as COBRA, General Benefits, ADA, FMLA, 401(K), etc. preferred.
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills.
  • Must be able to handle confidential and secure data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
  • Working knowledge of Benefit terminology within medical, dental, vision, life, voluntary products, , disability, FMLA, ACA, 401(K) and/or COBRA.
  • Ability to handle confrontational situations in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Ability to identify and research complex benefit issues and provide written recommendations on problem resolution.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with Payroll, Benefit providers, Accounting and others in Human Resources.
