Service Supervisor / Advisor (Dearborn, MI):

W.W. Williams is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Advisor / Supervisor for our 2nd shift mid volume service department. The responsibilities of this role includes greeting the customer, creating a service repair order based on the customer's request, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair as well as supervise, monitor and direct technicians through service processes to ensure high shop efficiency and quality repair resulting in excellent customer service.

Organizes work flow to meet and exceed customer expectations, and arranges work to accomplish departmental objectives by completing repair orders timely and accurately.

Plans, staffs and evaluates departmental priorities to ensure that technicians work together cohesively and are accountable for assigned tasks. Maintains schedule to aid in timely completion of work installations and service work. 

Promotes a safe work environment and complies with regulatory requirements and reporting processes

Assist in the operation of managing a profitable service department through productive staffing, strong customer satisfaction, cost controls, setting and meeting objectives with high initiative for change and control of service activity.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assigns parts and labor costs correctly for customer invoicing and warranty processes.
  • Maintains staff by training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment
  • Develops staff by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and instructing employees; developing, coordinating, and administering policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
  • Assist customers with setting service appointments, and keeping our clients informed of the status of their vehicles in for service.
  • Open and close work orders in a timely manner.
  • Being able to sell needed vehicle maintenance & repairs with honesty and integrity
  • Assigns parts and labor costs correctly for customer invoicing and warranty processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have excellent customer service experience.
  • Must work closely with vehicle repair technicians.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Respectable comprehension of dealer business systems and computer skills
  • Able and comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Possess high level of overall technical knowledge.
  • Clean driving record, and must pass drug screen and background check.

EDUCATION:

  • Experience with heavy duty dealership and/or diesel service environment preferred.
